Marathon Offers New Video-Based Maintenance and Service Series
Web-Based Videos Extend Service and Support to Marathon Customers
VERNON, AL (Mar 7, 2019) — Marathon Equipment, a leading manufacturer of refuse compactors and recycling balers worldwide, is proud to announce the development of The Service Shack, a video-based service and maintenance video program, designed to assist Marathon Equipment customers better service their equipment.
“The Service Shack has been a very popular program for our sister company, The Heil Company, that makes commercial and residential garbage trucks, so we were excited to begin developing our own series,” said James Robbins, Marathon Equipment’s Director of Stationary Products. “We sell to some of the same customers that Heil does, so the requests to develop our own version of the web-based program was an easy decision to make.”
The video program is hosted on the Marathon Equipment website, www.marathonequipment.com, and will be filmed in English, Spanish, and French Canadian to better serve customers throughout the US, Canada, and Latin America.
“Future programs will be created each month, based on the volume of service calls received to make sure the topics remain relevant and timely,” said Robbins. He added that each video will cover the pertinent safety elements related to the task at hand, tools needed to perform the work, and a call out for any parts that may be needed, making it simple and comprehensive. Robbins went on to say that The Service Shack is also important to ensure that customers have ready access to the training – especially with higher employee turnover rates of competent mechanics. “It’s like having your own personal equipment mechanic – available anytime of the day or night,” said Robbins.
